The Italian FA has been criticised for banning acnl fruits after it was found to contain an enzyme which can damage teeth.
The governing body banned acni fruit, an Indonesian fruit with the same name, following the discovery of a chemical compound that can cause the development of cavities in the teeth.
It is believed that the compounds could be causing the development in young children.
In a statement, the governing body of the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) said the discovery was made by Italian researchers in Indonesia, but did not disclose the name of the lab which discovered the compounds.
The statement said the research, carried out by researchers at the University of Limpopo, was part of a broader study on the chemical compounds that could lead to tooth damage.
The lab also identified an enzyme that could damage the teeth of animals by disrupting the metabolism of enzymes.
The scientists said they were also working on a solution for the condition, which is also known as tooth fluorosis.
The new discovery could have consequences for the future of the fruit, which has been growing rapidly in popularity in recent years.
Last year, it was revealed that an acnl crop in Italy had been growing at a rate of more than 1.8 tonnes per year.
It was the first time that the fruit was banned in the European Union.
The association said that it had taken the decision to ban the acnl after an investigation by the Italian government.
“The FA has also received the report from a laboratory in Indonesia that the discovery could lead some children to develop dental caries and other diseases,” the statement said.
It added that it was the responsibility of the FA to monitor its food supply and food labelling and to ban any products which could endanger children.
However, the association’s president, Carlo Cascio, said he hoped the decision would also prevent other products from being sold in the region.
“It’s important that the FA doesn’t give the impression that there’s a ban on the fruit,” he told the AFP news agency.
The FA said it had received reports from other countries about the new chemical compounds and had taken a number of steps to prevent them from entering the market.”
The FA can’t be allowed to be in a position of saying, ‘Here’s our rules, this is our way of doing things, it’s OK for us to have the FA on our list’.”
The FA said it had received reports from other countries about the new chemical compounds and had taken a number of steps to prevent them from entering the market.
The group also said it was committed to protecting the health of its members and to supporting the development and production of the new fruit.
“This is a very complex and sensitive issue, and we are committed to working together to tackle it,” it said.
