The magic of a dragonfruit is in the skin.
“It’s got all the flavour and it’s just so beautiful,” says chef Michael Gabbott, who is the founder and chief executive of the Dragonfruit Association, an Australian non-profit.
“The dragonfruit skin has the texture of a sweet pudding.”
And that’s not all.
The fruit’s beauty comes from the texture.
A few strands of the fruit have been woven into the skin to create a soft texture.
The texture is made up of three layers: a hard layer, a soft layer and a fibrous layer.
This soft layer helps the fruit retain moisture and keep the fruit soft, while the fibrous part gives the skin its elasticity and texture.
“They don’t want to break,” Mr Gabbot says.
“If they break, they’ll go soft and go mushy.”
The dragonfruit skins are used to make chocolates, chocolatieries and chocolated fruit bars.
The skin is then dried to form the hard, fibrous core.
To make the fibres, they are mixed with an enzyme and then ground.
They are then rolled into a ball and pressed into the skins.
The fibres are then pressed onto the surface of the skin, where they create a perfect finish.
Mr Gaborot uses the skins in his dessert bars and cakes, and in the chocolatories of New Zealand.
“In the UK, it’s been used for a long time for chocolate,” he says.
“[The] flavour of the chocolate is really rich and fruity and the dragonfruit, which is a little more earthy, adds a little bit of sweetness and a little bitterness.”
A dragonfruit can be made into a chocolating variety of ice cream called a dragon pie, which has a creamy texture.
But there are a lot of different flavours of dragon fruit available in Australia, and the flavours are more subtle than the ones you can get in New Zealand or in the UK.
In New Zealand, Mr Gaffott says there are three main types of dragonfruit: dragon fruit that has been dried to make the skin and is the hardest, the chunky one, and a softer, more fibrous dragon fruit.
He also makes a variety of chocolation flavours.
“A lot of people say they don’t like the dragon fruit, but they don.
I’m quite proud of them.
They’re not the most popular in the world,” he said.
“We’re really proud of our dragon fruit.”
“Dragon fruit is really good for skin.”
The hard, soft and fibrous varieties, called dragon fruit peelers, are used in the cosmetics industry.
Mr Moseley of the UK’s Lush cosmetics says dragon fruit was used for its natural oils and fragrances.
The harder ones were used in hair styling and nail polish.
“Dragon fruits are actually very easy to peel.
If you peel them, they’re tough and very firm, and if you rub them into your skin, they break easily,” he explains.
“So if you’re going to use it for cosmetic purposes, you’re doing a great job.”
Mr Mosenley says that the peelers have a lot in common with the Chinese chamomile and cilantro oils used in cosmetics.
“I’ve heard stories of people saying they’ve got to use dragon fruit to get rid of the cilantro,” he told ABC News Breakfast.
“And they say that it actually helps to get the cactus out of the hair.
“For example, it can help to soften the skin for a skincare product, and for a cosmetic, it helps to reduce inflammation.” “
In a recent article, The Conversation, Dr Andrew Kelleher, professor of integrative dermatology at the University of Sydney, says that he’s found that the more the skin is rubbed into the fruit, the better the skin feels. “

“Some of the most amazing things about dragon fruit are the oils, the flavour, the fragrance and the flavourings that are applied to it,” he wrote.
“You’re not just looking at the fruit itself, you can apply a lot more.”
But while Dr Kellehter’s findings might help with skin care products, he says dragon fruits are a good choice for food as well.
“What they’re doing to the skin has been shown to be beneficial to the health of the human body,” he explained.
“All the things you can find in Chinese herbal medicine or in Chinese cuisine, dragon fruit is actually one of the ingredients.
It’s a really great way to get your food in there.”
